Euphorah
is a collaborative creative process that utilizes multiple modalities (music, drama, spoken word, expressive movement, visual art, multimedia, etc.) to create a healing and inspiring experience for both artists and community of witnesses alike. Through the exploration and presentation of the artists’ various motifs and stories, Euphorah becomes a space for healing, growth, and testimony. Euphorah intensifies the natural healing power of the expressive arts through its meditative play sessions that allow for dancers, poets, musicians, etc. to play with one another in harmony. This process is then shared with the community through a powerful and collective piece that the group has prepared. However, the focus is not on the collective piece as much as it is on the experience of its creation. Through authenticity and passion, fine art can and will always manifest, so why not enjoy the ride? Although challenging, this standpoint allows the artists’ creations to be a means in themselves rather than a means to please an audience. Euphorah provides a grounds for experienced artists and aspiring artists to learn from another. It has also been the answer to a multitude of diverse artists over the years to rekindle the old flames of their passions. Those who witness this process are not only seeing art in its creation but get the chance to enjoy and be touched by the raw passion and emotion of every artist.

Euphorah has now joined forces with Hue ’n’ I. These two projects have become two parts to the same process. Hue ’n’ I can be considered the process through which the artists find themselves through individual exploration and Euphorah is the means by which they share their discoveries and celebrate their process as a community. Therefore, the time and space where Hue ’n’ I meet is Euphorah.
